Château de La Chaize continues to stand out in the wine world, particularly with our BROUILLY Lieu-dit « La Chaize » Monopole 2022. This exceptional wine was selected among the wines tasted at the prestigious World Tasting Championship, organized by La Revue des Vins de France, on Saturday, October 12.
This internationally renowned event brings together the world’s top wine experts and sommeliers. Thirty-nine teams competed, tasting twelve wines from France and abroad (six whites and six reds). Each team had to identify the grape variety(ies), the appellation, the vintage, and the country of origin, with four French wines, two Spanish wines, two Italian wines, one German wine, one Argentinian wine, one Lebanese wine, and one from New Zealand.
Our selected Gamay stood out with its brilliant color, complex aromas of red fruits, and silky tannins, offering an unforgettable tasting experience. Being present at the World Tasting Championship is a major recognition for the estate, which proudly represented the quality of Beaujolais wines on the international stage.
Midway through the competition, the French team recognized our flagship cuvée, but after several hours of tasting, it was ultimately Italy that claimed victory!
